Founding Editor, Meander
Tom Greenwood’s three careers — marine science, strategic design, and magazine publishing — coalesce in Meander, the print magazine for regenerative living he founded in 2024, which explores bioregioning, regeneration and slow living as entry points into regenerative practice. He holds a first degree in oceanography and worked as a marine biologist and diver on the Great Barrier Reef and in Thailand. He has since spent more than twenty years as a design consultant in the impact sector and is an experienced creative workshop facilitator. Over the past year he has led the development of the Inner Wildness Map, a six-dimension framework for inner wildness built in dialogue with somatic therapists, ecological psychologists and cultural thinkers, and drawn from the writers and artists who made Meander’s Volume 3 on wildness. The framework underpins a six-module course, Wildness — Rewilding Our Lives, launching February 2027 with Gaia Educaiton, a free public quiz, and a set of printed archetype cards used for facilitation. He also hosts Meander with…, a walking podcast recorded on foot. He lives on Santa Maria in the Azores, where his family are turning a piece of land into a living example of what the magazine advocates for.
