Music can teach more than rhythm.

In Marimba Class with Pak Marios, students explore a traditional instrument from Zimbabwe while discovering something deeper: collaboration, listening, and shared responsibility. Each note matters, but it’s the harmony that brings the music to life.

As they play together, students learn that the strength of the ensemble comes from collective awareness, not individual spotlight. A gentle reminder that learning, much like music, is most meaningful when it is connected, collaborative, and rooted in community.

What happens when music becomes a tool for wellbeing?

For her Greenstone project, Iris (class of 2025) created a full original music album exploring how sound can influence focus, emotion, and mindfulness. Each song is carefully composed using binaural beats, designed to create an immersive listening experience that supports calm, presence, and deeper awareness.

Her project goes beyond artistic expression, inviting listeners to slow down and reconnect through sound.

Mud on their shoes and big ideas in their minds, our Grade 3 students set off to explore innovation, regenerative farming and the Subak irrigation system with @astungkara.way.

This field trip isn’t just about learning how water flows, but it’s about asking questions, testing ideas, and understanding how everything in nature is connected. The children dive deep into how these systems work, then use their creativity to design their own irrigation solutions.

The best part? Some of the irrigation systems they developed are now being implemented in the school’s farming system, turning student ideas into real, living impact.

From learning in the field to sharing their ideas with parents and the wider community, this experience celebrates curiosity, care for the land, and learning through connection.

A kitchen can teach more than you think.

For his Greenstone project, Luca created “Luca’s Kitchen”, a hands-on class where cooking becomes a lens to explore sustainability, systems, and responsibility.

Students learn how to plan recipes, calculate ingredient quantities, manage orders, and work within a kitchen budget. They’re discovering that every meal involves decisions, logistics, and impact.

All proceeds from the food sales will be donated to Bali Life Foundation, allowing this project to extend its impact beyond the classroom and into the wider community. A gentle reminder that learning can be purposeful, collaborative, and rooted in giving back!
