Manavi Bhardwaj is an interdisciplinary sustainability and climate action practitioner whose experience of the last 15 years cuts across sectors, and diverse stakeholder groups, including grassroots organisations and communities, think tanks, policymakers, philanthropy, corporates, educators, academics, consumers and artists – focused on research, partnership building and holding space for collective action by playing the roles of connector, weaver and translator. For the last 6 years, her work has largely focused on enabling collaboration on climate action in India, and between India and other global (south) majority
countries.
She has also been building her own capacity and capability towards regenerative systems thinking and being through various unlearning and relearning experiences. Her interest lies in addressing systemic breakdowns by tending to relational healing aspects and cultivating a culture of care towards one another and more than human life, and supporting diverse stakeholders on their journey in becoming active participants of living systems. She is interested in bringing forth multiple ways of knowing and being to enable this – including the role of therapy and inner practices, movement and embodied cognition, local wisdom, art
and culture.
Manavi holds a BSc Honours in Life Sciences with a specialisation in Environmental Biology from the National University of Singapore and Cornell University; an MSc in Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management from the Central European University, University of Lund, University of Aegean and University of Manchester; and a Masters in Advanced Studies in Regenerative Systems Design from ETH Zurich.
