Olivia Janelle Lacour

Olivia is a Green School Bali student who cares deeply about how climate change, education, and identity intersect. Having grown up in multicultural environments and been part of global youth dialogues, such as Model United Nations conferences and regional climate forums across Asia, she often reflects on what it really means for a school to embody sustainability not just in words, but in everyday learning and action. Olivia’s project focuses on creating a long-term policy for Green School that integrates sustainability, climate literacy, and diversity into the curriculum and school culture. The aim is to move beyond performative action and embed these values into real educational practices. After a year of developing and testing it at Green School Bali, Olivia’s policy will be adapted for other schools locally and internationally to support a wider shift in how education responds to climate and social challenges.
