Fara Allegria

Fara is an artist and Green School Bali student who ponders questions such as, What lies under the ocean? How do different cultures depict forces of nature? And what can be defined as death? She also observes the tiny things in the world and surroundings; the texture of clouds, the different piercings on someone’s ears, and the food people order. It is her goal to create  these thoughts and observations through visual art.

Using aquarelles, inks, and acrylics while layering thin paint layers and impasto, Fara creates works from the process of observing, questioning, and laying paint to convey to viewers the idea of enjoying the insignificant things in life, and to question what is below the surface. Currently she is also exploring upcycling fast fashion clothes, experimenting with traditional pigment making with local Indonesian resources, and pottery.
